Dar Al-Jazera Consultants (AJC) is a progressive Architectural and Multi-disciplinary Engineering firm founded by Arch. Ahmad A. Al-Jihayem, in 1978.
The M1 Industrial Village is a 250,000 m² development along Highway 80 designed to support PAHW’s vision for Mutlaa City by integrating warehousing, retail, showrooms, open storage yards, and labor accommodation within a flexible and sustainable industrial framework. The layout combines small shops and anchor stores to create adaptable commercial zones and pedestrian-friendly pockets that enhance walkability. These commercial areas are strategically positioned to conceal the industrial zone, while warehouses act as a visual and functional buffer to the open storage areas located at the rear of the site. The warehouses also form a hidden central corridor that streamlines loading and unloading activities. Labor accommodation is grouped together to improve service efficiency, promote community, and maintain privacy away from public and commercial areas. Utilities, including wastewater treatment facilities, are placed at the back of the site to support operational efficiency and minimize visual impact. The masterplan emphasizes flexibility, allowing tenants to expand, relocate, or adjust as economic needs evolve. Architectural strategies include clustering showrooms for visitor convenience, applying suitable massing and height for shading, and creating effective buffers between different land uses. Sustainability is embedded throughout the development, with provisions for waste management, renewable energy, water treatment systems, and the use of durable, environmentally responsible materials.
Overall, the M1 Industrial Village aims to deliver a functional, adaptable, and high-quality industrial environment that enhances the area’s amenities and contributes to Kuwait’s economic growth.
